10. Fluency Studio: Reading With Express

Service Description

Overview: Fluency Studio is a supportive, low-pressure class that uses "Reader's Theater"–style reading to help students strengthen reading fluency, comprehension, and expression. Students practice reading aloud using short scripts and books. The goal is not acting or memorization, but learning how punctuation, phrasing, and meaning shape fluent reading. Through modeling, guided practice, and repeated reading students work on reading sentences smoothly, accurately, and with appropriate expression. Emphasis is placed on understanding the text so that reading sounds natural and meaningful, not rushed or robotic. The class will end with a simple, celebratory culminating project, such as a recorded group reading or shared reading experience, shaped by the needs and interests of the group.
